NDC is Committed to improving the Quality of Education – Prof. Opoku Agyemang

The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for the 2024 elections, represented the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, at the Meko Bono Festival in Techiman. She was accompanied by the former First Lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama, and other former government appointees and parliamentary candidates.

During her address, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to improving the quality of education at all levels of the educational ladder. She reiterated the party’s promise to establish tertiary educational campuses, particularly in the newly created regions.

 

The Meko Bono Festival is an annual event that promotes the cultural history and identity of the Bono people, preaches peace, and ensures unity. The ceremony was graced by traditional leaders and sons and daughters of the Bonoland from all walks of life, showcasing the rich cultural diversity of Ghana.

 

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang thanked the Chiefs and people of Bono for their significant contribution to Ghana’s development and for holding this important event. She stressed that the peace and unity being advocated for must be premised on justice, respect for all, good human relationships, and equitable distribution of state resources.

 

The NDC remains committed to providing sustainable jobs for the youth by ensuring access to quality education at all levels, with a focus on vocational and technical education.
