Former Adenta Independent Candidate Commits to Community Welfare Through Social Initiatives

The Independent candidate for the Adenta Constituency in the just-ended 2024 elections, Hon. Hagar Asiedu, has vowed to uplift the living standards of residents through a range of social intervention programs.

During the unveiling of Executives of her not-for-profit organization, Impact Lives Foundation Ghana (ILFG), Hon. Asiedu stated the pressing challenges faced by all electoral areas within Adenta, emphasizing the urgent need for action from government and community members. She pointed out that access to clean drinking water remains a significant issue for residents.

Another critical concern raised during her campaign is the insufficient availability of loans, which hampers business growth and job creation for the youth in the constituency.

Hon. Hagar Asiedu also underscored the importance of empowering women and girls in Adenta to advocate for their rights and seek justice.

“I am passionate about women and girl empowerment programs. I will collaborate with various women’s groups in the constituency to educate them about their rights and promote self-reliance, thereby reducing domestic violence,” she stated.

She urged her team to engage with stakeholders across different electoral areas to address the ongoing water supply issues by establishing mechanized boreholes or water centers that provide free access to water for residents. Additionally, she proposed organizing football competitions for local youth to identify and nurture exceptional talents for export to enhance their families’ economic conditions.

Secretary of ILFG, Derick K. Botsyoe expressed gratitude on behalf of the team, assuring Hon. Asiedu of their unwavering commitment to achieving the organization’s objectives. He confidently predicted that by the next election in 2028, many lives in the constituency would have been positively impacted by her initiatives.

Togbe Doe Dallah III, Chairman of ILFG’s Advisory Committee, called on corporate entities and philanthropic organizations to partner with Impact Lives Foundation Ghana (ILFG) to transform the future of Adenta and contribute to national progress.

Mr. Prince Opoku, a Director at ILFG, announced an outreach initiative called the Impact Pad Project aimed at supporting girls in basic and senior high schools by distributing over 1,000 sanitary pads to promote menstrual hygiene this February.

Hon. Hagar Asiedu invited like-minded individuals to join her social intervention efforts, aiming to enhance lives and create a better environment for all constituents.
