Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, a self-styled evangelist and former fetish priestess, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with hard labor. The conviction was handed down today, July 3, 2025, by a circuit court.
Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah presided over the court, delivering the verdict after a pregnancy test was conducted. Nana Agradaa was found guilty of charlatanic advertisement and six counts of defrauding by false pretense.
Background of the Case:
The founder of Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, Nana Agradaa, was initially arrested in October 2022. This followed allegations of a money-doubling scam that reportedly occurred during a watch night service.
Prior to the October 7, 2022, service, Nana Agradaa had disseminated videos advertising that she would distribute money to all attendees. However, following the event, numerous individuals, purporting to be church members, were captured on camera expressing significant displeasure and anger, alleging they had been defrauded.
According to one attendee, Agradaa had collected ¢2,000 from some individuals without fulfilling her promise to “double it as promised in her advertisement.” Videos circulated at the time showed one woman reportedly cursing the evangelist and her junior pastors.
Throughout the legal proceedings, Nana Agradaa maintained her innocence, pleading not guilty to all charges.
