In a strategic move to enhance its regional communication capabilities ahead of the crucial 2024 general elections, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has presented a fleet of vehicles to its Regional Communications Bureaus across the country.
The National Communications Officer of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi, spearheaded the initiative on behalf of the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama. The presentation ceremony saw the handover of Peugeot Landtrek pickup vehicles to the Regional Communications Officers of the Volta and Ashanti regions, while the Eastern Region received a Mitsubishi pickup vehicle.
“It is my hope that these vehicles will enhance the mobility for these hardworking RCOs to disseminate the messages of the party in every nook and cranny of their respective regions towards the victory 2024 agenda of the party,” Gyamfi stated during the presentation.
The gesture is part of a broader initiative that aims to provide each region with a robust pickup vehicle equipped with a powerful public address system to ensure effective communication of the party’s messages.
Mr. Gyamfi also revealed that similar presentations have been made to Communication Officers in seven other regions, including Bono, Upper East, Upper West, North East, Western North, Savannah, and Bono East. These regions have also received essential logistics such as mobile phones and laptops to further support their communication efforts.
The NDC’s National Communications Officer expressed gratitude to the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, for his continuous support and guidance in this endeavor. He also acknowledged the contributions of numerous benefactors who have consistently supported the party’s communications bureau.
“With your support and the help of God, we shall cover all 16 regions and achieve our goal of providing every region with a strong pickup vehicle mounted with a strong P.A system, for the effective dissemination of the messages of the party for victory come December 7, 2024,” Gyamfi affirmed.
This strategic initiative underscores the NDC’s commitment to strengthening its communication infrastructure and ensuring that its message reaches every corner of the country as the 2024 elections approach.
