Independent Parliamentary Aspirant for the Adenta Constituency, Hagar Asiedu has criticized both the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for their inability to meet the developmental needs of the Adenta Constituency.
Addressing her supporters after submitting her nomination forms at the Adenta Electoral Commission office, Miss Asiedu expressed her frustration with the two major political parties, stating that they have failed to deliver essential services and infrastructure, particularly in road networks and water supply.
Miss Asiedu emphasized that the electorate’s expectations have not been met, leading to widespread dissatisfaction among residents.
“The NDC and NPP have had their chance to govern this constituency, and they have failed to deliver the development that will change the lives of the people,” she asserted.
She called for a shift away from the traditional party system, urging voters to consider an independent candidate who can bring about meaningful change.
Highlighting her commitment to the constituency, Miss Asiedu pointed out that the political primaries often favor candidates with financial resources, undermining the selection process. She noted that development initiatives by the ruling parties usually appear as last-minute efforts to gain electoral favor, which frustrates the electorate.
Having lived in the Adenta Constituency for many years, Miss Asiedu believes she understands the community’s political dynamics and is well-positioned to address their needs. She plans to prioritize women’s empowerment, support for the elderly, and establishing inter-electoral area sports competitions to nurture local talent.
Miss Asiedu has garnered significant support from constituents disillusioned with the performance of the NDC and NPP.
She encouraged voters to pay attention to her policies and to support her candidacy in the upcoming 2024 elections, promising a fresh approach to governance that focuses on the community’s real needs.
