The Africa Interdisciplinary Research Institute (AfIRI), an independent not-for-profit organization dedicated to fostering collaborative research engagements across diverse disciplines in Africa, has launched its second call for applications for its graduate student support fund.
The funding aims to assist Master’s and PhD students enrolled in tertiary institutions across African countries by providing financial support for crucial stages of their research, including data collection, data analysis, and the printing of their dissertation or thesis.
To be eligible for this funding opportunity, applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be a currently enrolled Master’s or PhD student at any accredited tertiary institution within an African country.
• Possess a valid student identification card.
• Be in their thesis or dissertation writing year.
• Their research must demonstrate a clear interdisciplinary focus.
The deadline for all application submissions is April 30, 2025.
