Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has commenced a two-day campaign tour of the Oti Region, starting this morning in Kwamekrom, Biakoye constituency, as part of his #Mahama4Change2024 campaign. This tour follows Mahama’s recent participation in a national peace campaign launch organized by various religious bodies, underscoring his commitment to unity and stability in Ghana.
During his visit, he aims to address critical issues affecting the region and outline his vision for economic growth and development which includes tackling unemployment through sustainable economic policies, including the implementation of a 24-hour economy, a $10 billion BIG PUSH infrastructural program, and a one million coders initiative.
The former President recognizing the vital role women play in the economy, is committed to empowering women entrepreneurs by establishing a Women’s Development Bank to facilitate access to capital and support women-led businesses.
John Mahama is also advocating for a nationwide apprenticeship program designed to equip the youth with practical skills. This initiative aims to provide hands-on training opportunities funded by the government, encouraging Master Craftsmen and women to mentor young apprentices.
Throughout the tour, John Mahama will engage with constituents, meet community leaders, visit local businesses, and share his vision for building a prosperous Ghana together.
As he visits various constituencies within the Oti Region, he seeks to solidify support ahead of the December 2024 elections with a commitment of completing all abandoned projects by the Akufo Addo led government, promoting economic growth and reinforcing his vision for a united and thriving Ghana.
