Mahama to deliver state of the nation address today

Ghana’s President John Dramani Mahama is expected in Parliament today, February 27, 2025, to deliver his first state-of-the-nation address.

The president will be expected in Parliament at 10am.

The state of the nation address is in line with article 67 of Ghana’s 1992 constitution and will afford the government the opportunity to outline their blueprint for economic delivery to the people of Ghana.

The president is expected to account for his stewardship for over a month after taking over the country’s administration.

He is expected to provide Ghanaians with an understanding of what was left for him by the previous government and what he has come to do these few days in office.

Organized labor expects the president to provide a blueprint on how to reinstate people who have had their appointments revoked by his government.

They expect him to provide the country with measures being put in place to address the cost of the standard of living.
