NDC Professionals’ Forum Notifies Parliament of their Global President’s Demise

The National Democratic Congress’ Professionals Forum, led by its Ag. President, Prof. Ohene Adjei, has called on the Rt. Hon. Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to formally inform him of the passing of Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, the former president of the NDC Professionals Forum.
In his remarks, a visibly emotional Speaker Bagbin reflected on the good times he spent with his brother, comrade Ambassador Sam Pee Yelley. “It’s difficult to speak,” he said. He described him as lively and factual, though he was termed controversial. He urged the family to keep him updated on the funeral preparations and assured them of his full support.
Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley was a distinguished lawyer, public servant, and diplomat. A prominent figure in Ghana’s political landscape and known for his commitment to the NDC and his leadership within the party’s professionals’ forum. He held academic degrees from the University of Ghana, Central University, and the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
He served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority (NPRA), later assuming the role of Acting Chief Executive Officer until March 2014, when he was appointed Ghana’s ambassador to India. Ambassador Yalley passed away on April 6, 2025, after a brief illness. The one-week observance will be held on May 10, 2025, at Sakaman.
The delegation included Dr. Jehu-Appiah, Arnold Appiah, Richard Anamoo, Erick Bertin-Houadjeto, Richard Kofi Afenu ESQ, James Teye Kofi Osadutey, Grace Adjoa Nebbah, Abu Safian Saeed, Eric Kemeh and Eric Obutey.
