Nsoatreman FC defender Issaka Mohammed has revealed that the team will adopt a different approach for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary tie against Elect-Sport.
The Ghana FA Cup champions secured a commanding 3-0 victory in the first leg against Chad’s Elect-Sport at the Accra Sports Stadium, thanks to three quick-fire goals in the first half.
Despite the comfortable lead, Nsoatreman FC remains cautious ahead of the return fixture in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
Speaking to Joy Sports, Issaka Mohammed emphasized that the team will not rest on their laurels and hinted at a tactical shift for the away game.
“I think we are going there with a different strategy. We are not going to play the same way we played at home,” he said. “We are going there with a different style to defend and to score more goals. We are confident that, in the second leg, we are going to win.”
Nsoatreman FC aim to maintain their advantage and secure progression to the next round of the competition, as they continue their quest to reach the group stage in their debut CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
