Prof. Opoku-Agyemang Kicks Off Second Phase of Campaign Tour in Western Region

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the running mate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has launched the second phase of her campaign tour in the Western Region, beginning with a visit to the Essiama Nursing and Midwifery Training College.

In a post on social media platform X, she expressed enthusiasm about the energetic and ecstatic vibe of the trainee nurses she met.

During her visit, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang advised the students not to be swayed by temporary inducements from the current government, emphasizing the NDC’s commitment to creating sustainable employment opportunities for nurses after graduation. She articulated the party’s policies aimed at addressing the challenges faced by healthcare professionals in Ghana.

Adding to her campaign message, Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Deputy Minority Leader, announced plans to provide free internet connectivity at both Essiama Nursing and Midwifery Training College and Asanta SDA Nursing and Midwifery Training College, located in the Ellembelle Constituency. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance educational resources and support for nursing students in the region.

As Prof. Opoku-Agyemang continues her tour, she aims to engage with constituents across key districts in the Western Region, hosting town hall meetings and rallies to discuss critical issues such as education, healthcare, and economic development. Her campaign is focused on mobilizing support and reinforcing the NDC’s vision for a better future for all Ghanaians.
