Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has publicly expressed the government’s gratitude to the Domestic Debt Exchange Program (DDEP) bondholders for their sacrifices, which are deemed crucial for Ghana’s economic recovery.
During a recent event, the Bawumia Professionals Connect, aimed at engaging key stakeholders in Ghana’s housing sector, Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that those who participated in the DDEP will ultimately benefit from their contributions when the economy fully rebounds.
He stated, “As I mentioned earlier, and it bears repeating, I expressed the government’s profound gratitude to the DDEP bondholders for the sacrifices they have made in helping ensure that Ghana’s economic recovery is on track”.
The Vice Presidential Candidate highlighted the endurance of these bondholders, asserting that their sacrifices are in the collective interest of all Ghanaians. He noted, “We remain deeply thankful for their endurance, which has been in the collective interest of all Ghanaians”.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh further reaffirmed the NPP’s commitment to ensuring that these “heroes and heroines” will share in the future benefits of their sacrifices.
