The 13th Ghana Garden and Flower Show (GGFS) is set to take place from Saturday, 20th to Sunday, 28th September 2025 at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra. Under the theme “Urban Places, Green Spaces,” the event highlights the urgent need to transform Ghana’s cities into more sustainable, healthier, and greener environments.
Organized by Strategic Communications Africa Ltd. (Stratcomm Africa), the Show will gather local and international horticulture and floriculture experts, entrepreneurs, policymakers, educators, and families. Esther A. N. Cobbah, CEO of Stratcomm Africa and organizer of the Ghana Garden and Flower Movement, described the event as “not just an event – it’s a movement” emphasizing the necessity of green urban spaces amid global climate challenges.
Inspired by the 2024 keynote address of Charles Abani, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Ghana, GGFS 2025 aims to balance ecological wellness with economic innovation. Highlights of the event include daily exhibitions on floriculture and eco-friendly innovations, the Green to Riches Conference focused on youth and green entrepreneurship, masterclasses on sustainability and landscaping, the Little Green Fingers children’s programme, and evening entertainment such as Music Night, Drama Night, and the Fashion in Bloom show.
Stratcomm Africa is inviting government bodies, civil society, academia, development partners, and private sector players to join as exhibitors, partners, or sponsors to support the vision of a greener, cleaner, healthier, wealthier, and more resilient Ghana.
Since its inception in 2013, GGFS has grown into a nationally and internationally recognized platform that promotes environmental responsibility while creating green business opportunities and contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals through education, innovation, and community involvement.
