Nollywood actress Rosy Meurer has broken her silence on the reconciliation between her husband and businessman Olakunle Churchill, and his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, stating that she was fully aware of the development long before it became public.
In a strongly worded Instagram post, Meurer dismissed insinuations and online narratives suggesting she was blindsided by the reunion.
“I knew about the reunion and reconciliation even before it got to the internet, and I have been 100% in support, so y’all just rest,” she wrote.
The actress said she could no longer remain silent while, according to her, people formed opinions based on misinformation.
“Believe what you choose… this is my truth, I cannot be quiet for the rest of my life whilst every Tom, Dick and Harry has an opinion about me based on lies,” she stated.
She also criticised what she described as a pattern of social media users stirring controversy at inconvenient times.
“If it’s not this today, it’s that tomorrow and y’all somehow always pick the wrong time to start your shit just to create issues,” she added.
Calling for maturity and forward movement, Meurer stressed that priorities have changed.
“Time has passed, people have grown, no one has time to be going back and forth on what won’t put food on the table. Let love lead, allow peace reign. Please. God bless you.”
Readers may recall that Churchill was previously married to Dikeh, with whom he shares a son, before their highly publicised separation. He later married Meurer in 2019, and the couple have since welcomed two children together.
Over the years, their relationship has attracted significant public attention, often drawing commentary from fans and critics alike.
