Three Clubs Promoted to Ghana Premier League for 2025/26 Season

Three clubs from the Access Bank Division One League have secured promotion to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) for the upcoming 2025/2026 season. Techiman Eleven Wonders FC, Swedru All Blacks United FC, and Hohoe United FC earned their spots in the top flight after winning their respective zones.

Techiman Eleven Wonders FC makes a return to the GPL after a three-season absence. Their promotion was sealed with a dramatic 2-1 playoff victory over Real Tamale United at the Accra Sports Stadium. This marks their second stint in Ghana’s elite football league.

Swedru All Blacks United FC will also be rejoining the GPL, ending a 16-year wait for top-tier football. They achieved promotion by winning the Zone Two title after an impressive campaign. Hohoe United FC will be making their debut in the GPL, having emerged as champions of Zone Three.

These newly promoted teams will compete against established clubs such as defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars, Asante Kotoko, Accra Hearts of Oak, FC Samartex, Dreams FC, Vision FC, Bechem United, Berekum Chelsea, Nations United FC, Holy Stars, Young Apostles, Karela United, Kpando Heart of Lions, and Medeama SC.

The 2025/2026 Ghana Premier League season is slated to kick off between September 12 and 15, 2025.
