Running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has announced that the party’s campaign will be centered on issues rather than propaganda.
In a post on X, Dr. Opoku Prempeh highlighted the launch of the NPP manifesto over the weekend in Takoradi, describing it as a quest for a renewed social contract with the people of Ghana.
He stated, “The NPP’s ‘Selfless Leadership, Bold Solutions for Jobs and Business’ Manifesto launched yesterday represents the NPP’s quest for a renewed social contract with the Ghanaian people.”
Dr. Opoku Prempeh emphasized that the manifesto presentation by the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, provided a comprehensive plan for significant business and sectoral growth. “Our Presidential Candidate in his delivery provided an insightful exposition on his plans for all sectors for the needed growth,” he noted.
He further assured that the NPP is prepared to engage with the public on the issues raised in the manifesto to ensure a clear understanding of the party’s vision. “This campaign will be fought on issues and so, we in the NPP are always available for any engagement that seeks to break down the issues for Ghanaians to understand clearly the difference between us and the opposition,” Dr. Opoku Prempeh stated.
NAPO further expressed confidence in the NPP’s prospects in the upcoming December elections, saying, “As I said yesterday and it bears repeating, the NPP, by the grace of God, will work hard to win the December elections. With God, it is Possible! Bawumia means Business!”
