Minority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Adaklu Constituency, Kwame Agbodza Governs, has committed to providing substantial financial support to constituencies in the Volta and Oti Regions ahead of the 2024 election. This initiative is part of his broader mission to “Rescue, Reset, and Build Ghana.”
According to Salim Ahmed Nassam from C.M.B SHED, Hohoe Zongo, the MP has already donated GH₵50,000 to the Hohoe Constituency and GH₵20,000 to each of the other constituencies in the Volta Region. Nassam confirmed that these donations will continue monthly until December 2024.
“For constituencies in the Oti Region, each will receive GH₵20,000 every month until December 2024. The Volta and Oti Regional Executives are also included, with their offices allocated a specific amount,” Nassam added.
This is not the first time Hon. Kwame Agbodza Governs has made such contributions. During the registration period, all constituencies in Volta and Oti received GH₵10,000 each from the Chief Whip.
“Hon. Kwame Agbodza Governs, our Minority Chief Whip, is committed to the cause and considers it a collective responsibility, this initiative is a testament to his dedication to the country and the party at large. We shall work towards a better future for the Ghana we want.” Nassam noted
However, some Ghanaians have raised concerns about the source of funding for this extensive venture with many lamenting the poor state of development in the Adaklu Constituency, questioning the MP’s allocation of such significant funds elsewhere.
