Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale received a resounding welcome upon his return to Accra following a historic performance at Vybz Kartel’s Freedom Street Concert in Kingston, Jamaica.
The event, held on December 31, 2024, marked Shatta Wale’s debut on Jamaican soil, fulfilling a long-held aspiration to perform in the birthplace of dancehall music alongside his idol, Vybz Kartel.
The Freedom Street Concert, headlined by incarcerated dancehall legend Vybz Kartel, featured a line-up of top Jamaican artists, with Shatta Wale’s performance standing out as a highlight.
His dynamic stage presence and delivery resonated with the audience, earning him the title of “African King” from Vybz Kartel himself.
Upon his arrival at Kotoka International Airport on January 8, 2025, Shatta Wale was greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of fans.
The airport was excited as supporters chanted his name and sang along to his hit songs, demonstrating their unwavering support for the artist.
