Ghanaian singer Mzbel has escalated her ongoing social media feud with Afia Schwarzenegger after revealing that she received GH₵30,000 from an undisclosed prominent associate amid the renewed public exchange.
In a video shared online on Wednesday, the singer, known privately as Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, displayed three bundles of GH₵100 notes while expressing excitement over what she described as a surprise gift. According to her, the money was given to her to “buy koko and get energy” to continue responding to Afia Schwarzenegger in their heated online rivalry.
“Somebody has just come to gift me GH₵30,000 to buy koko and get energy to give it to you in every style… I now know why Afia Schwar is always fighting online; there is money in it. I am not stopping now,” she said in the video.
Mzbel further claimed she was prepared to send GH₵10,000 out of the amount to Afia Schwarzenegger’s children in Ghana for their upkeep, a remark that has since generated mixed reactions across social media.
The latest development follows days of renewed verbal attacks between the two public figures, whose long-running feud resurfaced after Afia Schwarzenegger reacted to Mzbel’s emotional appearance on United Showbiz on UTV Ghana.
During that appearance, Mzbel broke down in tears while responding to allegations linked to past controversies, including claims involving a prominent pastor and issues surrounding the widely discussed “Papa No” saga.
Afia Schwarzenegger later responded in a separate video, accusing Mzbel of portraying herself as a victim in a controversy she allegedly created, while demanding answers over past recordings linked to the earlier scandal.
The exchange has since dominated online entertainment discussions, with both personalities continuing to trade accusations and provocative remarks in videos posted to their social media platforms.
