Award-winning rapper and singer Nicki Minaj has spoken candidly about what she describes as years of “spiritual warfare” within the music industry, claiming that powerful figures have made her career journey increasingly difficult.
Speaking during the 200th episode of The Bryce Crawford Podcast, hosted by evangelist Bryce Crawford, Minaj reflected on the personal and professional challenges she has faced throughout her career, suggesting that the music industry operates on forces she did not fully understand when she first entered it.
“It was constant spiritual warfare. I wish I kind of knew sooner that this music industry was such a spiritual experience because I felt like I brought a knife to a gunfight,” she said.
The rapper alleged that influential individuals within the industry often view artists as commodities to be exploited and may work against those who refuse to conform to their expectations.
According to Minaj, she believes there are certain powerful groups or individuals who have deliberately created obstacles in her path, although she stopped short of identifying them or linking them definitively to any specific organization.
When asked whether she believed in the existence of the Illuminati, Minaj offered a cautious response, saying she could not confirm such claims but remained open to the possibility.
“My situation, I feel like it’s very personal. I feel that there definitely is a group of people who have made things very difficult for me, but I don’t know if they’re Illuminati. I don’t know what they are,” she said.
She added that she had never viewed her experiences as the result of an entire secret society acting against her, but acknowledged that she could not completely rule out the possibility.
The comments have since sparked discussions among fans and industry observers, with many debating the pressures artists face behind the scenes and the broader challenges associated with navigating the highly competitive entertainment industry.
Minaj, one of the most influential female rappers of her generation, has enjoyed a career spanning more than a decade, earning numerous awards and chart-topping hits while remaining a prominent figure in global music.
