Member of Parliament for Ofoase Ayirebi, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, has congratulated the newly elected national executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), while reminding them that their election marks the beginning of the work ahead.
In a message shared on social media, Mr Oppong Nkrumah congratulated the new leadership and called on them to focus on the responsibilities that come with their respective positions.
“A big congratulations to Chairman John Boadu and all our elected national executives. More work ahead to be done,” he wrote.
His comments followed the NPP’s national delegate’s conference over the weekend, where the party elected executives to steer its affairs for the next four years.
John Boadu emerged as the party’s National Chairman, while Kojo Bamba was elected First Vice Chairman.
Justin Kodua Frimpong retained his position as General Secretary, providing continuity in the party’s administrative leadership. Former Greater Accra Regional Minister Titus Glover was elected National Organizer.
Mavis Hawa Koomson was elected National Women’s Organizer, while Abanga Fuseini secured the position of National Youth Organizer.
The election of the new executives is expected to usher in a new phase for the NPP as the party works to strengthen its structures, mobilise its grassroots and position itself for future political contests.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah’s message underscores the expectation that the newly elected leadership must move quickly from the electoral process to the substantive task of rebuilding, organising and advancing the interests of the party.
