Nana Kwaku Agyemang Eulogizes Samartex Players after Unbeaten Start

FC Samartex head coach Nana Kwaku Agyemang has praised his players for their determination and consistency after guiding the club to an unbeaten start to the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.

Samartex extended their unbeaten run to five matches following a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Young Apostles in their latest league fixture.

The result further underlined the impressive beginning to Agyemang’s tenure, with the coach recording three wins and two draws since taking charge of the club.

Agyemang, who joined Samartex during the offseason after his spell with Vision FC, has quickly established a solid foundation at the club, with his team yet to taste defeat in the opening five matches of the campaign.

The former Vision FC coach has overseen a disciplined and consistent start, with Samartex collecting positive results while maintaining their challenge in the early stages of the league season.

Following the victory over Young Apostles, Agyemang was quick to shift the focus from himself to his players, praising them for their commitment and fighting spirit throughout the opening matches.

“I feel great. To play five games, win three, draw two, this is basically a coach’s dream; kudos to my boys, they have fought gallantly,” Agyemang said.

The coach said the players had responded positively to the demands placed on them and deserved significant credit for the club’s strong run of results.

“They made sure they fought a good fight, and I’m very proud of them,” he added.

The comments reflect the growing confidence within the Samartex camp following their strong opening to the campaign. The five-match unbeaten sequence has given Agyemang a positive platform as he continues to shape the team according to his vision.

The 1-0 win over Young Apostles also demonstrated Samartex’s ability to secure maximum points in closely contested encounters. Although the margin of victory was narrow, the result was enough to preserve their unbeaten record and maintain the momentum built during the opening weeks of the season.

For Agyemang, the immediate priority will be to ensure that the team maintains the same level of commitment and concentration as the campaign progresses. With three victories already recorded, Samartex will be encouraged by the consistency of their results under their new head coach.

The unbeaten start is particularly significant for a club that lifted the Ghana Premier League title in the 2023/24 season. Samartex will be hoping that their current form can provide the foundation for another competitive campaign at the top level of Ghanaian football.

However, Agyemang and his players face another test as they seek to extend their unbeaten run.

Samartex will travel to face FC Ashantigold on Sunday, October 11, 2026, with the team aiming to secure another positive result and continue their impressive beginning to the season.

A victory in that encounter would further strengthen Samartex’s momentum and extend Agyemang’s unbeaten record since taking charge.
