King Promise Becomes First Ghanaian to Record Official Chelsea Anthem

Ghanaian Afrobeats star King Promise has made history after becoming the first Ghanaian artiste to record an official anthem for Chelsea Football Club.

The song, titled “Can’t Tame Us (Chelsea Anthem),” was officially released on September 29, 2026, as part of Chelsea’s activities for the 2026/27 football season.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone for the Ghanaian musician, who is a lifelong Chelsea supporter.

King Promise first disclosed the partnership during an interview with SportyFM Ghana earlier in September, revealing that he had recorded the official song for the club’s new season.

“Obviously, I’m a Chelsea fan. I do have a partnership with Chelsea Football Club… I’ve done the official song for Chelsea Football Club for this season,” he said.

According to the artiste, the anthem forms part of a broader partnership with the London-based club, which includes several activities aimed at celebrating African culture and his connection with Chelsea.

He disclosed that a documentary was being filmed in Ghana, alongside a music video and a tournament planned as part of the partnership.

Chelsea subsequently promoted the song on its official platforms, describing it as “a song for the Blues across the continent” and “a celebration of African culture.”

The club’s promotional material featured a Chelsea jersey alongside Ghanaian imagery, highlighting the connection between the football club and the Ghanaian artiste.

“Can’t Tame Us” runs for just under two minutes and combines King Promise’s signature Afrobeats sound with energetic football-anthem elements designed to engage supporters.

The track was produced by Ray Michael Djan Jr., Gideon Frempong and Joseph Baxter, and is available across major music streaming platforms.

The collaboration further strengthens King Promise’s growing international profile while creating a new link between Ghanaian music and one of England’s most prominent football clubs.

The song is expected to feature prominently in Chelsea’s match-day activities during the 2026/27 season.
