Jarell Quansah: English-Ghanaian defender confident in Liverpool’s new style under Arne Slot

The 21-year-old, who featured in Liverpool’s recent 4-1 victory over Sevilla, believes the team will thrive with Slot’s more attacking style of play.

“I think the style of play the manager likes is very attractive. We can score some unbelievable goals, and it will get better and better hopefully. That’s what we’re striving for,” Quansah told the club website.

He acknowledged that adapting to Slot’s new ideas will take time, especially since many players are transitioning from the previous manager’s methods. “He’s got a lot of new ideas that we have to get used to. Obviously, a lot of the lads have played under the last manager for quite a while, so it’s a lot of adaptation,” Quansah said.

The defender also emphasized the importance of continuous training to fully implement Slot’s strategies. “There’s still a lot of work to be done on the training pitch and we’ll continue to do that,” he added.

Last season, Quansah made 33 appearances and kept 10 clean sheets. He aims to build on these statistics and contribute to Liverpool’s success this season.

With Slot taking over from Jurgen Klopp, fans are are hoping asmootrth transition and swift adaptation to the new style materialises as the Reds aim for more success in a new era.
