Spokesperson for the Mahama Campaign, Beatrice Annan has accused the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government of attempting to label dissenters as members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in a bid to deflect criticism of their alleged corruption and economic mismanagement.
In a post on social media platform X, Lawyer Annan urged the public to be wary of these tactics, which she described as “communist inferior tactics.”
“Please do not fall for such tactics. Speak up against the ills of the NPP and let no one gaslight you,” Annan wrote, emphasizing that the NPP in opposition branded opposing voices as “progressive forces,” a term she claims remains unchanged despite their current hold on power.
Beatrice Annan’s comments reflect growing frustrations among opposition members regarding the NPP’s approach to criticism and accountability.
She called on citizens to remain vigilant and vocal against what she perceives as attempts to stifle dissent and manipulate public perception.
