National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate,Prof. Naana Jane Opoku Agyemang was warmly welcomed by the Chiefs and elders of Dakodwom, who expressed strong support for the party’s upcoming electoral campaign. This enthusiastic reception signals a promising outlook for H.E. John Dramani Mahama and the NDC in the forthcoming elections.
In a post shared on X, Prof. Opoku Agyemang highlighted remarks from Faustina Dery, the NDC parliamentary candidate for the Nhyiaeso constituency, who urged constituents to vote for Mahama as President and herself as their parliamentary candidate to foster positive change in the area. The Regional Chairman of the NDC also acknowledged the chiefs’ support during their tour, emphasizing the party’s reliance on local leaders to ensure free and fair elections on December 7.
Expressing her gratitude for the warm welcome, Prof. Opoku Agyemang reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to addressing the needs of Ghanaians, citing developmental projects initiated during their previous tenure in office in the Ashanti Region. She underscored that these accomplishments were achieved under a leader who is dedicated to nation-building and who utilizes national resources for the benefit of all citizens.
Prof. Opoku Agyemang reiterated her confidence in Mahama, describing him as a tried and tested leader who prioritizes national development. She pointed to innovative policies proposed by Mahama, such as a 24-Hour Economy Policy and the establishment of a Women’s Development Bank, which aim to enhance economic growth and support women’s empowerment.
