15 NDC Executives Go Unopposed in Ningo-Prampram Constituency Elections

Fifteen out of the 16 executive positions in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ningo-Prampram Constituency are expected to go uncontested as the party prepares for its constituency elections scheduled for Saturday.

The development was announced by the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Sam Nartey George, who described the decision to allow the aspirants to go unopposed as a demonstration of unity and a shared commitment to the party’s future.

In a social media post ahead of the elections, Mr George expressed satisfaction with the outcome, saying the decision would allow members to focus their energies on strengthening the party rather than engaging in internal competition.

“Tomorrow, 16 elected positions were up for contest. You let 15 executives go unopposed,” he stated.

He described the development as “a record,” “a statement” and “unity of purpose,” emphasising the need for party members to work together towards their collective political objectives.

“We will not spend our energy fighting each other. We will stand shoulder to shoulder,” the MP said.

Mr George also linked the development to the party’s preparations for the 2028 general elections, expressing confidence that the constituency would work collectively towards its electoral objectives.

“And in 2028, we will deliver our biggest victory yet,” he added.

The MP further expressed gratitude to constituents and party members for the opportunity to represent and serve them, saying he did not take the responsibility lightly.

Describing Saturday’s elections as an occasion for solidarity rather than rivalry, Mr George said the gathering should reflect the shared identity and aspirations of party members.

“Tomorrow is not a contest. It is a family gathering. We are one: in mind, in spirit, in purpose,” he said.

He concluded by highlighting Ningo-Prampram’s position within the party, declaring that the constituency continued to stand out as “a light set on a hill.”
