Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month on personal expenses, family needs and luxury purchases, excluding major acquisitions such as jewellery and cars.
The Nigerian singer disclosed a livestream conversation with Davrel, where he spoke about his lifestyle and how his spending varies depending on his location.
Davido explained that his expenses are relatively lower when he is in the United States, where he enjoys a quieter life with his wife and children. However, he said his spending increases significantly when he is travelling or away from home due to his busy schedule and social engagements.
“It depends on my location. I spend less at Yankee because I live with just my wife and kids. But when I’m around, it’s a lot more. Normally, 500k, 200k, 300k, minus buying jewellery or a car. Minus my wife and my household,” he said.
The singer’s comments have drawn attention, given his well-documented taste for luxury cars, designer jewellery and high-end properties.
Davido, one of Africa’s most successful musicians, has frequently made headlines for his extravagant purchases, including luxury vehicles such as Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce models, as well as his customised jewellery pieces.
He has also shown off an impressive collection of luxury cars, including a Lamborghini Revuelto reportedly worth about $600,000, a Mercedes-Maybach S680 Monogram and a Tesla Cybertruck.
The singer previously made headlines after acquiring a Bombardier 7500 private jet, reportedly valued between $68 million and $78 million, further cementing his reputation for a lavish lifestyle.
Beyond his material possessions, Davido has also spoken about his career, legacy and personal challenges. In a recent interview, he revealed that one of his greatest fears is knowing when to step away from music to protect his legacy, referencing football icon Cristiano Ronaldo’s experience of facing criticism despite his achievements.
He also expressed interest in creating a centre where former celebrities and public figures can access therapy and support after their time in the spotlight.
With multiple successful albums, international performances and a strong global fan base, Davido remains one of the most influential figures in African music, combining commercial success with a lifestyle that continues to attract public interest.
