Mona Gucci Labels MC Yaa Yeboah ‘Educated Illiterate’ Over Basintale Comments

A sharp verbal confrontation has erupted between Ghanaian media personality Mona Gucci and entertainment pundit MC Yaa Yeboah, following comments Yeboah made concerning Malik Basintale, the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

The dispute centers on Yaa Yeboah’s allegations that Basintale subtly encouraged “thugs” to cause havoc during the Ablekuma North election rerun on July 12, 2025, through his social media posts.

In a scathing rebuke, Mona Gucci directly criticized MC Yaa Yeboah, stating, “You are actually an educated illiterate.”

Gucci further advised Yaa Yeboah to exercise caution and conduct thorough research before making public statements, particularly on television. She issued a stern warning against disrespecting Malik Basintale, emphasizing the potential for her words to incite violence.

“You are a nobody, so don’t speak to Malik Basintale like that,” Mona Gucci reportedly added. “If you are not going to apologise to him for disrespecting him, just don’t mention his name again.”

This public spat underscores the intense scrutiny and differing perspectives prevalent within Ghana’s media landscape, particularly when entertainment commentators delve into political matters.
