Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has marked her 25th birthday in a wheelchair, revealing that she has been battling severe pain and mobility difficulties for several months.
The Nigerian actress shared the update in a birthday video posted on her Instagram page on Saturday, in which she appeared seated in a wheelchair while holding her birthday cake.
In the video, Daniels described the milestone as her “Silver Jubilee” and expressed hope for peace and healing as she entered a new phase of her life.
“Hi everyone. It’s my Silver Jubilee. This new phase of my life, I pray to God for total calm. Happy birthday to me,” she said.
The actress explained that her health challenges began with what appeared to be a minor problem but gradually worsened, leaving her struggling to move around freely.
“For several months now, I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she said.
Daniels attributed a significant change in her condition to the period following a Children’s Day carnival she had hosted, adding that she had since undergone a series of medical tests.
“It’s been one test after another that I jokingly started calling myself a lab rat,” she said.
Describing the severity of her condition, the actress said the pain had become excruciating, with her ability to walk fluctuating.
“Sometimes I find myself walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.
Daniels acknowledged the emotional toll of her health struggles, revealing that she had cried over her condition while continuing to pray for recovery.
“I cried. I looked on to God for His divine healing, as He alone has the final say on my life,” she added.
The actress also used the birthday video to address questions from followers about her prolonged absence from social media, explaining that she wanted to update those who had expressed genuine concern about her wellbeing.
